Hand Controls

Hand controls offer the first step to freedom for the disabled driver and allow them to experience the joys of motoring previously available to only the able bodied. Although some effort needs to be put in to learning how to use them safely and with confidence, the rewards are always worth the effort.

Naturally the types of control that you require depend on your specific circumstances. If you are unable to use conventional power and steering controls, items such as the brake, the accelerator can be adapted so that they are controlled by hand, for instance from levers fitted to the steering column. There are usually a large number of options that are available, for instance generally it is possible to integrate the indicator switch, the horn, and headlight controls. If hand controls are being used, then it may be advisable to consider using a pedal guard so that the pedals are not actuated accidently.

We at Netna Services have teamed up with Jeff Gosling Adaptations and through this partnership we are able to provide a complete range of hand control adaptations.

All the cars we offer are expertly adapted to exceptional standards in mobility driving and safety, and are fully guaranteed.

Examples of the hand control adaptations that are available include

  • Hand Accelerator and brake with integrated indicator

As an additional service we also offer full car refurbishment to the highest standard for an enhanced driving experience along with the highest standards in reliability and performance.
